Leather needs to be maintained properly in order to age gracefully. To ensure the longevity of your handbag, we recommend you to take care as follows:

• Protect from humidity; avoid all contact with oily products, products containing solvents or alcohol like perfume, hand cream, hand sanitizer, make-up, etc.
• In case your bag comes in contact with water or any of these substances, clean the stain as fast as possible by dabbing with a dry, soft and clean absorbent cloth of preferably white or light colour (do not use baby wipes) and then let it dry naturally.
• Avoid over exposure to bright light and keep it away from direct sources of heat.
• Be careful not to rub your bag against coarse or abrasive surfaces.
• Avoid prolonged contact of dark-coloured items with light-coloured fabrics, particularly in a humid environment.
• Avoid friction of light-coloured items with other materials or prints whose colours may transfer due to rubbing.
• After use, stuff with butterpaper/pillow and store the bags in Madame Mattey dust bag. Do not store in high temperature, humid or unventilated areas; never store your leather bag in a plastic bag.
• Moisture every six months with a good leather conditioner to prevent it from drying. Please test it on a small inside portion before use.
